"Supporting young filmmakers in their creative efforts and creating a film culture in Wales where young people are encouraged and given support to express their ideas and explore their talents."

2020 and we are now planning our 5th International Youth Film Festival. Although we have had to postpone our original date which was the beginning of September. We are now looking for the festival to take place in October/November this year.

This year’s film competition is now open and filmmakers have until 10th July to enter their films.

We look forward to once again receiving short films made by the talented young people of Wales and from our partners in the Youth Cinema Network  ( YCN sending wonderful films from all over the world.)

Once again we will be exploring new and exciting activities for the Festival.

As well as planning the Festival, we continue with our year round training and activities programme for young people. This includes our Community Pop Up Cinema ‘Wicked Cinema’ which has now been joined by Wicked Cult Cinema’ a cinema Programmed by a member of the community, Screening all of your cult classic films.

None of this could happen without our talented team of young volunteers and in return we are pleased to be able to support them and connect them to training opportunities all over the UK and other European Countries.

Thank you also to our main supporters including Children in Need, Ffilm Cymru Wales, Film Hub Wales, British Council, Gwynt Y Mor, Prestatyn Pop In Centre, BAFTA Cymru, Into Film and Rhyl Little Theatre who help us make all this happen.

Diolch yn fawr iawn
